Lot 249: Manhattan Rain/Liberty Isle
The regally bred and very talented Manhattan Rain - a Gr.1 winning half-brother to superstar stallion Redoute's Choice - is a proven high class stallion, so well represented by his 20 stakes winners including the Gr.1 gallopers She Will Reign (Golden Slipper), Whisky Baron and Benagil (the recent Australasian Oaks).
There's a lot to be said for buying into the progeny of a proven broodmare and the lightly raced Liberty Isle who showed plenty of natural ability during a short career is just that - five of her six foals to race being winners.
And not just maiden winners either with the metropolitan class gallopers Watto's Fury, Kakadu, Tajmali and Champagne Diva between them winning 24 races... they really know how to find the line!
Liberty Isle, who at just her second start won her maiden in Victoria by 4 1/2 lengths, is one of the seven winners produced by the dual city winner Blue Gum Girl, dam of the stakes winner Personal Ensign; in turn dam of the dual Group winner Fontiton whose son Generation is also a two time Group winner.
